Horsemanship. Strength. Teamwork. Responsibility. Confidence. Performance.
At Brookside Vaulters, we strive to teach our students much more than just amazing sport. Through vaulting, our students will learn...
Horsemanship and Riding - Vaulters will learn all about horses and take part in the care of the horses at the club. Vaulters will learn to groom horses, tack up for vaulting, learn parts of the horse and parts of the equipment, learn how to behave around and handle horses, and so much more. Vaulters will learn to "ride while vaulting," improve their riding seat, as well as learn to control the horse with reins and build a relationship with their equine partners. Vaulting is a horse-sport and teaches vaulters to become exquisite horse people.
Strength and Fitness - Vaulting encompasses full body fitness and awareness. We teach our vaulters to become in-tune with their bodies, and develop great strength and flexibility, and athleticism.
...and... all on the back of a horse!
Teamwork, Discipline, and Responsibility - Through horses and team camaraderie, vaulters learn and develop discipline and leadership skills, worth ethic, team-work and team building skills, responsibility, and so much more. We strive to teach our vaulters respect for each other and the horse, team building and social skills, as well as help them to develop horsemanship skills, basic riding, and equine knowledge.
Confidence, Creativity, Expression, and Performance - Whether it be vaulting for competition or just for the fun and joy of it, vaulting establishes creativity and self-expression, dance, and performance, all building confidence and embracing the development of strong self-esteem and individuality. We believe that vaulting is a great way for kids to learn build confidence in themselves, self-efficacy, self-esteem, and expression. Through working with horses, and through the art of vaulting, vaulters will learn to become more confident in themselves, both in performance and in life.
